About Shireen

Hello, my name is Shireen and I'm a fully qualified and experienced Psychotherapist and Counsellor. I provide a warm, confidential, and non-judgemental space where we can work together to help you feel more at ease with yourself and your intentions. My approach is always tailored to you as an individual; we will set meaningful goals together and review them regularly to ensure they continue to challenge and support your personal growth.

As an Integrated therapist, I believe everyone has the right to feel comfortable in the world. I use powerful Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) techniques to help you examine how your thoughts and feelings shape your experiences. Through this process, you will gain the tools to think and respond in ways that feel authentic and aligned with your personal values, helping you to move away from unhelpful thinking patterns.

Our sessions focus on discovering on what matters to you. Together, we will explore the hidden messages within your anxieties and understand their origins. This process helps you develop a deeper sense of self-awareness and a renewed sense of confidence, allowing you to approach life's challenges and personal relationships with emotional freedom and clarity.

Background and experience

My journey into psychotherapy began after a varied career working with political parties, the Palace of Westminster, advertising agencies, and trade unions. These professional environments demanded a deep understanding of people’s needs from all walks of life and highlighted the vital importance of nurturing relationships. This background enables me to approach my clinical work with a well-rounded perspective on human behaviour and empathy.

Driven by a passion for supporting others on a personal level, I transitioned from my former career to pursue professional training in Psychotherapy and Counselling. Today, as a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), I adhere to a strict ethical framework to ensure professionalism and confidentiality. I am committed to ongoing professional development and regular supervision to provide the most effective, evidence-based support possible.
