About Ellen

Welcome. I am a fully qualified and experienced integrative therapist specialising in helping individuals and couples navigate emotional, personal, and relationship challenges. My practice is rooted in providing a warm, non-judgemental, and fully supportive environment where we can work collaboratively toward meaningful change and greater resilience.

My approach is integrative, meaning I draw upon evidence-based models to meet your unique needs. I have a particular focus on Narrative Therapy, which views challenges as separate from who you are. By externalising the problem, we can gain a fresh perspective on how issues affect your life, allowing you to move forward with self-understanding and balance.

In our sessions, I am an active participant rather than a passive listener. I engage fully in our conversations, offering insights and practical tools while ensuring we work at a pace that feels comfortable for you. Background and experience

I have extensive experience working with a diverse range of clients, having started my counselling career supporting families, couples, and individuals. This background has provided me with invaluable insights into the complexities of human relationships and the different ways we respond to life’s stressors.

Originally from Seattle, I have lived in London and Surrey for over 40 years. Prior to my career in therapy, I worked in the City, which gave me first-hand knowledge of the unique pressures and stresses of a high-stakes business environment. This professional history allows me to deeply empathise with clients facing workplace stress and career-related mental health challenges.
