About Chantelle

Hello, my name is Chantelle and I am a fully qualified and experienced Cognitive Behavioural Therapist. I provide a safe, warm, and supportive space where we can explore your thoughts and help you make lasting, positive changes. My approach is down-to-earth and compassionate, ensuring that you feel properly heard and encouraged to talk freely about what is troubling you.

I specialise in Rational Emotive Behavioural Therapy (REBT), which is a practical, action-oriented form of CBT. This method focuses on how our thoughts affect our feelings and subsequent behaviours. Together, we will work collaboratively to identify and challenge irrational beliefs that may be keeping you stuck, helping you manage your emotions in a more calm and rational way.

I understand that therapy is not a 'one size fits all' process, so I tailor my individual approach to your unique needs. While my foundation is in CBT and REBT, I often integrate other evidence-based techniques such as mindfulness, affirmations, imagery, and solution-focused methods. My goal is to meet you where you are right now and support you in moving forward.

All of our sessions will be collaborative and active. I aim to empower you to gain control over your life by learning the techniques of CBT and putting them into practice both during and outside of our sessions. This process helps develop a lasting toolkit of skills to bring balance, confidence, and a more fulfilling life.

Background and experience

I am a fully qualified therapist holding an Advanced Integrative Diploma in CBT/REBT from the College of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, London. As an accredited member of the National Counselling Society (NCS), I work strictly within their code of ethics and participate in regular professional development and clinical supervision to ensure the highest standards of care.

In addition to my private practice, I have extensive experience working with organisations such as Mid-Kent Mind and Anxiety UK. My expertise covers a wide range of conditions, including anxiety disorders, OCD, panic attacks, depression, and chronic sleep issues. I also specialise in helping clients navigate complex emotions like shame, guilt, and anger, as well as addressing challenges related to perfectionism, procrastination, and low self-esteem.
