About Ashleigh
Hello, my name is Ashleigh and I am a fully qualified Psychotherapeutic Counsellor. I provide a safe, supportive, and confidential space to explore the difficult thoughts, feelings, and behaviours that may be impacting your well-being. Whether you are struggling with stress, anxiety, or depression, I believe that with the right therapeutic support, these challenges can become more manageable, allowing you to strengthen your resilience and improve your relationships.
I take an integrative approach to therapy, which means I draw upon a wide range of evidence-based tools to create a flexible, personalised experience tailored specifically to your needs. By incorporating key concepts from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) alongside Person-Centred and Psychodynamic therapies, I help you gain deep insight into your challenges while providing practical techniques to support meaningful, lasting change.
In our sessions, we will work together to identify unhelpful patterns and develop the skills needed to move forward with hope and confidence. My goal is to help you overcome the emotional distress that may be holding you back from the life you want, ensuring you have the clarity and mindset to engage more effectively with the world around you.

Background and experience
My journey into psychotherapy began over a decade ago when my own experience with counselling provided me with the tools and strength to pursue a more authentic path. This personal insight led me to complete a Level 5 Professional Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling. I am an accredited member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS) and I am currently undertaking advanced Complex Trauma Training to further my expertise in how trauma affects the mind and body.
Throughout my career, I have gained significant experience in bereavement counselling, supporting individuals facing terminal illness and helping caregivers navigate the complexities of anticipatory grief. My background also includes extensive work within social care as part of multi-disciplinary teams. In this role, I supported individuals recovering from physical and mental health challenges, focusing on person-centred care to help them regain their independence and confidence.
